Hiking Poles for Summer Walks

Our blog this week continues from last week's post which looked at the range of sticks and canes that we have back in stock. As part of our stock replenishment we have taken delivery of a wide variety of walking sticks in preparation for the summer season. This week we have themed our walking sticks around the great outdoors and selected a range of sticks for those countryside ramblers, trekkers and hillwalkers amongst you.

Maybe you are planning a few weekends away over the summer to explore the beautiful UK countryside, or perhaps you are off to scale the mountains of the Lake District or the Scottish Highlands. Indeed, you could even be off to do some of the longer walks around Europe. Aluminium Telescopic Hiking Pole - Crutch Grip - Blue

These telescopic hiking poles incorporate every desirable feature including shock-absorbing inserts with an on/off mechanism for climbing or descending, contour moulded handle with an adjustable wrist strap, carbide steel tip and removable rubber ferrule and basket. They extend to 135cm and collapse to 68cm for easy transport and storage. Reduces strain on the wrists arms and joints. Staghorn Hiking Stave

The Staghorn Hiking Stave is a beautiful stick ideal for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits. It is approximately chest height and is made from a natural varnished hazel wooden shaft featuring a stag-horn handle and a walnut indented thumb-rest. The wood is harvested from sustainable forests. The Staghorn top is from stag horn collected by gamekeepers from stags that shed their antlers annually. The horn is ground, sanded and polished before being fitted to a natural wooden shaft. No animals were harmed in the collection of the horn.

Weight is 384g
The stick diameter at the top just under the handle is 27mm and tapers down to 20mm at the ferrule end
